Add To Basket
This full-color, 28-page catalog features a biography of John Fery and all 23 paintings featured in the historic John Fery: Artist of the Rockies exhibit at the Hockaday Museum of Art in Kalispell, Montana, June 15 - September 18, 2010. The catalog was designed so that the pages measure 9" wide by 8" high, and each painting is featured on its own page. The average painting image size is approximately 4" x 6", regardless of the proportional relationships of these extraordinary works (smallest painting 9" x 13" ranging to the largest painting 72" x 48"). There are three pages of text describing Mr. Fery's career, family and experiences. The 23 paintings in the exhibit were created by John Fery in the late 1800’s/early 1900’s. Commissioned by the Great Northern Railroad to paint the scenery along its route and in Glacier National Park in order to attract people to the area, Fery made an important contribution in the creation of Glacier National Park through his work. The Hockaday Museum of Art presented this collection of historic paintings in cooperation with the Fery family, BNSF Railway and private collectors. John Fery: Artist of the Rockies was an official Glacier National Park Centennial Event.
