The Hockaday Museum of Art proudly presents the Annual Arts in the Park festival. Arts in the Park is the Flathead Valley's premier arts, crafts and music festival held in Kalispell's historic downtown Depot Park. Over 100 local and visiting artists and craftsmen offer their unique and quality works for sale. Food and beverage vendors from around the valley provide delicious treats. Live musical entertainment gives the festival a light mood. A spirited fair for all ages! Arts in the Park is a benefit event for the Hockaday Museum of Art. All admission proceeds support the Museum in its mission and programs.

Music

Friday:

12:00--Greg Grant

Greg Grant makes more music alone than most ensembles. He plays guitar, sax and sings all through deftly-handled looping technology with fuzzy songwriter sonic force.

1:15--Don Beans

Don plays acoustic finger style guitar and vocals offering his original songs and interesting covers. Think Jimmy Buffett meets Gordon Lightfoot

2:30--Will Peterson

Will tickles the keyboard with his version of RnB, Jazz and his own originals.

3:45--Michelle Rivers Duo

Singersongwriter, Michelle Rivers & clawhammer banjoist, Tina Bertram, create an unique version of "Montana Americana" inspired by folk, country & bluegrass music. Their sound is both captivating and raw, echoing the wild places, deep forests and rugged mountains they call home.

5:00--Dave vonKleist

Musician, performer, educator and comedian, Dave von Kleist, entertains on guitar offering pop and rock covers from Sinatra to Steppenwolf.

6:15--Big Sky Hot Club

Flathead’s hottest gypsy jazz group performing Django Reinhardt & Hot Club of France with classic swing songs.

 

Saturday:

11:00--Lee Zimmerman

The shortest distance from the head to the heart is through the cello: Lee takes you there and back with his five-string cello offering an eclectic mix of classical technique, soaring improv, and shameless whimsy.

12:15--David Walburn Duo

Whitefish Songwriter David Walburn teams up with guitarist Michael Atherton to deliver a truly unique and original made in Montana sound.

1:30--String Clique

2:45--An Daire Academy

The art and soul of Irish dance and music fuels the passion of our growing school of dedicated dancers.

3:30--Greg Grant

4:00--Dan Dubuque

Dan plays the Weissenborn lap steel guitar and the Charango, a type of lute from native cultures in the South American Andes. Honing his craft all over Montana, Dan’s music is infused with passion and is one of a kind.

5:15--Woodstock Trio

Take a trip back through Woodstock Trio's music to the days of Peace, Love and Music.

 

Sunday:

11:00--Second Wind

Second Wind’s background is in Celtic traditions.They find joy in experimental approaches to traditional tunes and continually find new inspiration from some great contemporary bands from Ireland and the British Isles.

12:15--Brent Jamison Duo

Brent Jameson duo is a high powered Reggae, Blues, Folk group. Brent won Best of the Flathead for two year's running. Their style and originals are sure to get you dancing. From Paul Simon to Van Morrison.

1:30--Rheannon

Rheannon is an award-winning, Contemporary Christian/Country Rock singer-songwriter from the Flathead Valley. Her style represents her strong heritage coupled with carefully crafted lyrics, bringing an energetic show to her audience at regional and international venues.

2:45--La Nota Blues & Jazz

Classic Jazz, Signature Blues, Eclectic Pop.
